Hunslet Final Versions Update:
Dear Members,
You will have seen on the last website update (22 September 2022) that the final liveried Hunslets, being the Port of Workington Authority (NGSR0599) and Undecorated versions (NGSR059G/H), were held up due to technical problems with the PCB’s that had been shipped to the Factory directly from the PCB Supplier. This meant that the 3rd Batch that arrived in June did not contain these final liveries.
Whilst the Factory and our technical team have been trying to resolve the issue with the PCB Supplier, there has been little progress and communications with the Supplier have now become extremely difficult. Whilst we are working hard to get the technical issues with the PCB’s resolved, we are now in a position where we are exploring alternatives to be able to satisfy the members pre-orders for the outstanding Hunslets as soon as possible.
As soon as we have a firm way forward, we will let everybody know and try to finalise the remaining outstanding pre-orders.
I can appreciate that this is frustrating for those members that have been waiting a long time for their models, but there was no way that we and the Factory would accept poorly working models to be shipped to our Members. Can I ask you to please bear with us whilst we find a solution.
